Scott Lacina:
Scott started as a working cowboy a couple years out of high school down in Central Florida, working cattle at a couple of different ranches including Deseret Ranch, a nearly half million acre cow/calf ranch . This real life experience made him determined to find new and effective ways to deal with unknown and untested horses straight out of the pasture or trailered in from the Texas stockyards.
After a ranch accident resulted in a broken neck, he took a lot of time to figure out the best ways to put a good handle on a horse. Despite having no formal training back then he was consistent and persistent and would always better a horse after long days in the saddle.
Later, he was been offered the position of horse handler at Universal Studios Florida back in the ‘90’s when the horse reared up during an audition for a live cowboy show and he was the only “gymnast" wearing boots, (or for that matter a hat!), that stayed confident in the saddle. His path has eventually led him back to Texas and his passion of working with horses in a natural setting on his own horse ranch.
